I would like to thank the officers and committee for the opportunity to judge this show. LONG HAIIRED DACHSHUNDS. VETERAN DOG 2:- Two lovely dogs to go over , 1st: Cook & Rhodes, ABYDACHS RIDES THE STORM TO BOURNDER: an eight and a half year old shaded red dog, nicely constructed with a good length of ribs, that ran into a good loin and rear. Angulation was delightful both front and rear, his movement round the ring was a delight to watch as he covered the ground showing leaving many of the youngsters behind. It was a pleasure to award him Best of Breed, and see him go Best Veteran in show. 2nd: Huttons, Ch. RIVER RUMPUS THROUGH DACHALUNE Sh Ch: although there was not a lot between these two boys overall construction this eight year old Black and tan boy seemed more reluctant to move around the ring than did first. MINOR PUPPY DOG 1:- 1ST: Johnsons: AFRICANDAWNS NIGHT TROOPER: a very babyish 7 month shaded red dog, who on the day needed to settle. He had good front angulation, however I would have liked to see slightly better ribbing and rear angulation, although I am sure that with time he will grow more into himself. PUPPY DOG 3:- 1st: Metcalfe-Bilgin’s: METADALE MONTERAY JACK, an 11 month red dog, who despite his surplus packaging had nice shoulders, a good length of ribs, good front and rear angulation and a nice head, and despite his size moved well round the ring.
